World number one Spaniard Rafael Nadal thrashed Andy Roddick of USA on Sunday with unbeatable 3-1 lead in their semi-final clash of Davis Cup 2008. Spain will now play either Argentina or Russia in the final on November 21-23.
Nadal held off five match points on his serve in the ninth game but only delayed the inevitable. Within two hours 12 minutes, Nadal picked Roddick off with superb passing shots and wrap up the tie for Spain 3-1. Nadal said, "It is one of the most beautiful feelings I could have experienced in my career".

On Wednesday 4 September 2008, top-seeded Rafael Nadal dominated American Mardy Fish after beating him with 3-6, 6-1, 6-4, 6-2 at early morning 2:10 am. Nadal made third-latest finish in tournament history.
In on-court interview, he said "It was an amazing and unbelievable night session which I never expected to finish so early". This makes Nadal to be the best tennis player in the world. Nadal will become first tennis player to win three consecutive Grand Slam title if he wins this US open 2008.
